The challenge
Seamless migration, increased flexibility and workflow optimization
Bauformat GmbH was facing considerable challenges with its previous DAM system. In particular, the rigid structures of the old solution made it difficult to adapt to new requirements. Even simple changes often took months to process, disrupting or even interrupting central workflows. Another major problem was the connection to third-party systems, which worked inadequately or not at all with the old solution. This hindered smooth collaboration with other company systems and led to additional manual processes that tied up valuable resources.
The biggest hurdle was to create a fully comprehensive solution that not only fully integrated the previous range of functions, but also quickly implemented open requirements that had been ignored by the old provider. At the same time, it was essential to keep operations running smoothly and to facilitate the work of employees with a flexible and adaptable solution.
eyebase impressed us with its user orientation and expertise. The employees speak the language of the users and not just the IT specialists. In a very short time, a fully functional system was implemented with additional functions that we had been waiting a long time for with the old provider. It feels like we've switched from a unicycle to a Porsche.
The solution
From standstill to progress: Successful migration and expansion with eyebase
Dissatisfied with the previous solution, Bauformat decided to switch to eyebase. Thanks to the comprehensive expertise of the eyebase team, the migration went smoothly, with all existing data and structures being precisely integrated into the new system. A particular focus was on improving the connection to third-party systems, which had previously been a major weakness of the old solution.
The implementation was carried out quickly and completely by eyebase, from system integration to data export. This approach freed the project from its previous standstill. The marketing manager emphasized that eyebase had worked independently and with a creative “out of the box” approach.
Within a very short time, a fully functional system was provided that not only seamlessly integrated all the functionalities of the previous solution, but also extended them. Functions that remained unprocessed for a long time with the old provider, such as the flexible creation and deletion of fields, were made available as standard in eyebase and simplify the workflow considerably.
